Biography
Joseph A. DiPisa III (“Joe”), co-founder of Yook DiPisa LLC, is a seasoned litigator specializing in complex business and commercial disputes with nearly twenty years of experience representing clients.
Since 2017, Joe has been continuously certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, a distinction held by only about 2% of licensed New Jersey attorneys. This certification requires substantial trial experience,
recommendations from peers and judges, and the successful completion of a rigorous written examination. The program was created by the Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey to connect litigants with attorneys who the New Jersey Supreme Court have certified as highly qualified specialists in their area of the law.
Joe’s practice spans all areas of litigation, with a primary focus on corporate governance disputes, partnership/shareholder conflicts, complex commercial matters, unfair competition, trade secret litigation, employment disputes, and real estate disputes. He regularly represents small and mid-sized business owners and has also served as general counsel to multiple companies, overseeing both transactional matters and pre-litigation strategy.
Beyond his litigation practice, Joe has served as general counsel to multiple companies. He advises clients on a wide range of corporate and regulatory matters, including governance and the negotiation of operating and shareholder agreements, and has played a key role in financial services transactions such as mergers and acquisitions. Joe often leverages his litigation and trial experience to strengthen his ability to negotiate favorable commercial terms in client transactions.
He has secured favorable outcomes for clients at both the trial and appellate levels in state and federal courts across New York and New Jersey, and has experience in alternative dispute resolution, including proceedings before the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Since 2020, Joe has served as a court-appointed Arbitrator in commercial and personal injury matters.
